About a year ago, most of us in the office became addicted to two great web services:DiggandStumble Upon. Both of them helped us find things we liked by aggregating the ratings of all of their users. We decided that if we loved that feature so much, we had a responsibility to bring it to Jibjabbers everywhere!
You?ve probably noticed a bunch of thumbs up and thumbs down icons all over the site. Don?t write them off?they?re very important! This is how you tell us what you think is funny (like James?Dyn-o-mite?Walker of TV?s?Good Times?) and what?s not funny (like Paul Wolfowitz of the World Bank). The Jib and Jab icons appear above and to the right of every joke, as displayed here:

When you come across jokes on our site, you either like it (Jib!), or you don?t (Jab!). This simple fact is why we?re replacing the old system of rating jokes by the number of stars you, the JibJabbin?public, give to them. After all, who wants to try to figure out the difference between a three star joke and a four star joke? We sure don?t?we?d rather devote our time to laughing, chuckling or chortling at the over 100,000 jokes on the site. With Jibs and Jabs, it?s quick and easy. One click and your voice is heard!
And your voice matters, because each Jib and Jab contributes to whether or not a joke is featured on our?Hot List?(see above). The more Jibs, the better chance a joke is going to show up there! Secondly, by seeing what jokes you Jib and what jokes you Jab, we can better tailor the site to you, and make sure we can deliver you the funniest stuff on the web - every day!
If you come across a set of Jib It and Jab It icons that are grayed out, this means that you have already voted on a joke and can?t again. That?s right - you only get one vote - just like in national elections. So what are you doing sitting on your thumb? Get out there and use it! And remember:
