Whispers4u.com: This site includes a host of facilities including: uploading of up to five personal photos, personal video and audio, virtual flirt, search on disability type, block annoying members, hot-list and favourites, webcam and chat. The site was established in 2002 and has grown significantly since. It has over 16,000 members with various physical and mental disabilities. It even includes an online casino for members to enjoy while chatting. It aims to provide a complete online community for the disabled including extensive dating services.
 Lovebyrd.com: For single adult men and women with a disability, handicap, or physically or mentally challenged in some way. This site includes an extensive forum where singles exchange views and ideas about coping with and overcoming many of life’s challenges. There’s also chat, weekly polls, public, private and personal journals, discussion boards, submitted poetry, articles and tips, humorous items and travel information for the disabled.
 Disabledfriends.com: Offers a local, national and global service for disabled people to make friends. The site includes an entertainment section, resources and links, information regarding specialised holidays, transport, accommodation, safety and legal issues. It’s a free basic-membership, however, a fee is required to access higher level features.
 Disabledhearts.com: This site is free to join but charges a small fee to upgrade membership. Without an upgrade you cannot contact of other members. From what I could see, it has only a limited number of upgraded members – less than 500 in the USA and obviously less for other countries. Their goal is: “to provide a safe and secure environment to contact disabled singles and meet other singles that can understand what it is like to deal with a disability on a daily basis. We offer a dating website where disabled people can find someone to talk to and grow..”
 Disabled-world.com: Disabled World Dating is totally free. It’s aimed at people with disabilities including individuals who are interested in talking to people about handicaps – caregivers and relations of disabled people. The site includes two-way matching, anonymous email, instant messaging, virtual kisses, private mail and photo upload. This website seems like an online community for the disabled. Definitely worth trying.
 Dawn-disabled-dating.com: DAWN (Differently Abled Winner's Network) has in excess of one thousand members throughout the USA, and caters for the physically and mentally challenged, and abled bodied of any age. They use a personal touch that involves an extensive questionnaire combined with a one-to-one approach. Their principle: “there is somebody for everybody!”. So far they have had 14 marriages and numerous live-in relationships.
 Friendslikeme.org: This site provides facilities – forum and matching and dating - for the disabled. It claims to be “the world's leading network for meeting friends, making dates and finding information”. It a free sign-up but charges for full membership, either six-monthly or annually.
 Disabledunited.com: Provides extensive facilities for the disabled including a forum, articles, friends and dating section, personal recommendations, chat, travel, mailbox, message board, and more. Established for more than three years.
 Cupidcalls.co.uk: Cupid Calls offers similar facilities and features of standard dating sites but actively encourages individuals with physical and mental disabilities to join. They claim some of their in-house staff are disabled which helps them understand the needs and desires of handicapped people. Their services include photo uploading, instant messaging, anonymous text and email, video support. They claim “our dating service is much more effective than traditional personal ads”. It’s free to join but there’s a fee to upgrade membership.
 Specialsinglesonline.com: There’s very little information on this site other than it’s aimed at ‘special singles’. There’s no info about services or features, or whether it’s free or you have to pay a fee. There are some member profiles on the main homepage, other than that there’s very little.
 Alldisabled.org: There is very limited information available about this site. It seems to be run be a Russian organization that operates over a dozen or more other dating site. It doesn’t list features or facilities, fees, or anything else including levels of membership or a current number of members. I would be wary of this site.
